Seven of Winona's finest gardens will be open for self-guided tours during A Midsummer's Dream Tour of Gardens. Master Gardeners will be on site to answer any questions. New this year, each garden will feature a local artist or musician. Cost is $15. Local artist Monica Veraguth is displaying works of art at the Winona Public Library throughout May and June in the Bell Art Room located on the second floor. A variety of subjects are presented, including many local landscapes, regionally inspired landscapes along with a small selection of expressionistic pieces. The event is free and open to the public. Spruce Up Winona is a volunteer-based event in conjunction with Earth Day. Our mission is to clean the surrounding neighborhoods and downtown area in order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the entire community.
Students are invited to join the team to help clean one or more blocks for the community! Volunteers will be provided gloves and trash bags and T-shirts will be provided on a first come, first serve basis!

Winona State University will hold a film series in recognition of the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The series will run Sept. 11-16.

Winona State University is a sponsor of the Road Scholar program “All Aboard for the Heartland! From Today to Yesterday By Train” May 15-21.
