Young people ages 18-35 years old are invited to attend the Youth Sustainability Confab this Saturday--putting the power of change in their hands
All college students, young environmental activists, aspiring and young farmers passionate about making the world a more sustainable place to live in, are invited to participate in the Youth Sustainability Confab held on Winona State University’s campus this Saturday.
Anyone from the ages of 18-35 years old are welcome to attend the free event.

Prolonged flood stage began this week as the water level of the Mississippi River crested above 10 feet
The Mississippi River in the Winona area will flood this spring, but the effects will be minor, according to local meteorologists.
Earlier this spring, community members were concerned that the Winona area was in danger of a serious flood, as the large piles of snow that had accumulated on corners throughout the city began to melt.

The Finnish celebration honoring St. Urho will hold a place in Winona at the Garvin Heights Vineyards Sunday
Winona may be a town of Poles and Germans, but the Finns are starting to show their colors – Nile green and royal purple, to be exact.
On Sunday, the third annual St. Urho party will be at Garvin Heights Vineyards from 1 to 5 p.m. Patrons can dress in their finest green and purple gowns – or street clothes – and sing along to the folk music, tell legends and eat Finnish snacks: rye bread and cheese.
