    Water and Land Clean Up, including free lunch and music

    Wear gloves and old clothes. We need boats! Please bring one!

    The clean up starts at Latsch Island Beach. Volunteers will go out in boats to remove eyesores and pollutants such as treated wood, discarded tires and metals from islands, shorelines and dikes. The Mississippi River Revival has been organizing an annual clean up since 1980. Please attend and enjoy the free lunch, music and kid care.

  • The Winona Area Humane Society 12th annual bake sale will be downtown at the Winona Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The bake sale is held every year and is extremely beneficial for the humane society. Anyone is invited to be a part of the bake sale and can bring their items Saturday morning, Sept. 25 between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. The Winona Farmers Market is located at 2nd and Main St. in downtown Winona. All proceeds help heal, sheler and care for homeless and unwanted animals in Winona County.

  • Crop Walk 2010 Open House will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 4-6 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church Grace Hall. All individuals and organizations that wish to take part in the Crop Walk may pick up necessary materials at that time.

    Crop Walk 2010 will be held on Sunday, Oct. 10 starting at 1 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church. Those taking part will walk to St. John's Catholic Church and return to first Congregational Church where there will be refreshments.

    Family Fun Gallery Tours the second Saturday of every month 12 noon- 1 p.m. Children $3 each; Adults $6; MMAM Members are FREE!   Join us for an upbeat and family freindly tour of the Museum's galleries.The tour will include some activities, games, and more.Tours will last about an hour and all ages are welcome, though activities are geared for school aged children (up to high school).Please call ahead and sign up if you would like to participate.(507) 474-6626

    We are always looking for talented and spirted volunteers to help us accompolish our mission of enriching lives through art!  If you would like to learn more about volunteering, please contact Heather MacGaw at 507-474-6626 and sign up to attend this one hour introduction and training class held the second Saturday of every month.

A blood donor card or driver's license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

  • An informational meeting about being an ambassador to Misato, Japan will be held Monday, August 30 at 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium. WAPS students in 8, 9, and 10 grades interested in applying to be an ambassador are encouraged to attend. Information about the application process, the cost of the trip and fundraising activities will be presented.

    On Friday, August 27, the American Red Cross will be at St. Stanislaus Church in Winona, Minn., from 10:00am – 3:00pm, for blood donation.
