Of English Papers and Catnaps

Brady Prowatzke, a freshman at Winona State University, and Steven Jones, also a freshman, study in the Art Tye Lounge in Kryzsko Commons. Jones, who was catching an accidental catnap, said that chemistry is kicking his proverbial butt.

“I can never study enough for it… I study here [at WSU] more than I had to before,” Jones said, as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

Jones plans to major in biology and went right back to reading over his chemistry study guide after waking up.

Brady, his ear buds tucked in tightly as his hands flew across the keyboard, worked on a paper for English 112, which focused on the WSU common book, The Late Homecomer by Kao Kalia Yang. He propped the book against his arm, leaned back into the cream leather couch, and said, “It’s nice to study down here, relax, do homework, listen to music, whatever.”
