I think it’s really hard for especially public schools to be sustainable b/c of all of the health standards they have to fallow and especially with food and such. As of buildings sometimes it may be more sustainable to take down a building and rebuild something that is more efficient and better off for the long run. A lot of the old schools need new windows, roofs, water systems and such and it maybe isn’t cost friendly to redo all of these things when it’s better off to just rebuild rather than to renovate. Than now days with all the money cuts to school districts it’s hard for them to afford to be sustanible and if you think about it its better for the economy to rebuild buildings, more jobs, more supplies need to rebuild. As much as I would want our schools to be sustainable I think it would be extremely hard for our elementary, jar. high, and high schools to be.
